A Day at Chocolate Ville Thailand – How We Got There & What We Loved

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a storybook village without leaving Bangkok, Chocolate Ville is the place to be. We spent an afternoon here recently, and I’m still scrolling through my camera roll because every corner was so photogenic

Think pastel houses, cobblestone streets, a lighthouse by the lake, basically, a giant open-air photo studio that also serves delicious food.

How We Got There from BTS Sukhumvit Line

We started our trip from the BTS Sukhumvit Line at Onnut.

By Bolt: We booked a Bolt ride straight from Chocolate Ville to the Sukhumvit area. It was about 35–40 minutes with light traffic, and cost us around 350 THB. Definitely more comfortable if you’re not in the mood for bus hopping.

Entrance Fee & What’s Included

There’s no “just looking” here; instead of a free entry, we paid 150 THB each. However, the best part is that this amount turns into a food and drink credit. You just use it inside any of the restaurants or drink stalls. For us, it covered a couple of drinks and a dessert, which felt like a nice deal.

The Best Part? The Atmosphere!

This place is super kid-friendly and fun for adults too.

Here’s why: Mascot Shows – On weekends, they have these adorable mascot performances that make you feel like you’ve walked into a festival. The kids around us were squealing in excitement.

Capybara Feeding – Yes, they have capybaras! For around 100 THB, you can feed them and get up close.
Instagram Heaven – From the “European” buildings to the glowing lights over the lake at night, you’ll want to take photos non-stop. Sunset is especially magical here.

Opening Hours

  • Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

  • Weekends & Holidays: 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM

We went in the late afternoon, which was perfect because we caught both daylight photos and the nighttime lights.

If you’re in Bangkok and looking for something a little different from the usual malls and markets, Chocolate Ville is worth the trip. It’s not just about the food, it’s about the atmosphere, the fun little surprises (hello, capybaras!), and the chance to take photos that’ll make your friends ask, “Wait, where is this?"

That’s a wrap from Chocolate Ville! Keep exploring, keep smiling, and don’t forget to find magic in the little things. ✨📸
